The Nintendo team decides to engage in an over an hour long chat about the latest news that the Big N delivered in it’s latest Direct. Almost no game is left uncovered, and in the end they decide whether or not they like what Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata had to say.
Less than a week after stock prices plummeted to $14.90 a share on the tail of the revised Wii U sales forecast, Nintendo US stock prices recovered a bit to $16.70 on Jan. 22. However, since that point, prices have been dropping again, though not as rapidly, as the world waits to see what Nintendo has up it’s sleeve.
It’s no secret: the Wii U had fallen on hard times. What goes on from there is up to debate as the company’s integrity. There are plenty of options and enough time to experiment with what potential the still young Wii U has left for its generation. Few are easy and fewer are incapable of spelling certain doom in themselves alone. There are questions to be asked and there still may be answers to them going forward into the new year, for Nintendo is and may always be able to meet them head on.
