Microsoft beginning to role out Minecraft Demos for the Oculus Rift

Minecraft, one of the bestselling games across a variety of platforms, is set to make its debut on some new hardware. Earlier this week, Microsoft revealed that Minecraft would become available to play on the Oculus Rift in demo form across all Microsoft stores in North America beginning October 3rd. A full list of Stores that have the demo ready now can be found on the Xbox Wire.

Microsoft said that the team at Mojang is now ready “to have everyone experience Minecraft in a whole new way through virtual reality on Oculus Rift, powered by Windows 10.” And went on to say that the Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta would “illuminate just how powerful, evocative, and utterly immersive VR can really be. “
This marks the second VR device that can be used to play Minecraft after it was announced last week that it would be coming to Samsung’s Gear VR Headset along with Xbox controller support.
