Valkyria: Azure Revolution Promises Non-Stop Action in New Trailer
It’s Tokyo Game Show week, and that means the public finally gets to feast its collective eyes on gaming releases in the works. One of those games, Valkyria: Azure Revolution, was unveiled in greater detail via a blood-rushing new trailer.
The trailer, which you can watch here, features Xenoblade Chronicles-type blade wielding, arson, and even soldiers that look like feudal age stormtroopers. Not many specifics can be discerned from the clip, but it appears that a massive war is brewing in the heartland of a 19th century kingdom. Among the cast of Sega’s Valkyria Chronicles successor include “The Reaper” Brunhild, Ophelia A. Jutland, and Amleth Glenkaer, though their specific roles in the upcoming release are unknown.
If you happen to be at the Tokyo Game Show, you’re in luck, as a demo of the game will be live on the show floor. If you play the demo, an extra “battle demo Ver. 2.0” will be given to you to take home and play through code. Unfortunately, the rest of the world will have to sit back and wait, as the game has not been confirmed for arrival in the States just yet. Even the trailer is strictly Japanese, which may signal that you’ll have to settle for finding the Japanese version if you simply can’t wait to get your hands on it.
Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita owners in Japan can buy their copy of the game starting January 19th. For the rest of us, it’s back to scouring YouTube for rough translations and Japanese “Let’s Plays” of the game.
