Just Cause 3 Developers Considering Mod Support On Consoles
The Just Cause series has always had a large modding community on PC, with one of the most popular mods being the multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2. Running around the world of Just Cause 2 with chaos being spread by so many players is one of the most memorable experiences I have with the game, and Just Cause 3 developer Avalanche is trying to keep Just Cause 3 as open for mods as possible.
In a recent interview with GameSpot, Just Cause 3 director Roland Lesterlin said that the team has been doing their best to expand the availability of mods and has been considering bringing mods support to consoles, similarly to how Fallout 4 is bringing mods to consoles. While Roland was quick to say that nothing is set in stone, it’s clear that the team over at Avalanche knows that mods are an important part of their community, and putting them on consoles would be a nice addition to a game that already looks like a barrel of fun.
Just Cause is slated for release on December 1, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
