Gamestop to Offer Retro Games and Consoles

Today, Gamestop is making a move that should make some retro gamers happy. Gamestop is now selling retro games with the larger majority being on their site but does have limited availability at certain stores. The program currently includes the NES, Genesis, SNES, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, and Dreamcast games, there are also a few Playstation 1 and NES systems on the site at the time of this writing as well.

As for the pricing, many of the games aren’t going to be cheap. Some titles, such as Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! is going for $34.99 or Contra III: The Alien Wars going for $49.99, even though you could buy and download it off the Nintendo eShop for much less. If you’re just looking to play the game it might be a good idea to look around and see if you could buy it off the Nintendo eShop or elsewhere for a cheaper price, unless you are more of a collector and really want to own some of those games.

If you want to check out some of the prices or buy some games for yourself you can head to Gamestop’s retro game page here.
