Microsoft Reveals Early Access Platform “Xbox Game Preview”
It was announced at Microsoft’s E3 conference that Xbox One will be home to a new “early access” type platform to let gamers try out games in active development. Entitled Xbox Game preview, this system will give free trials of indie games still being worked on, so players can provide feedback to the developers, and get an idea of whether or not the game may be for them. Every game on the service will have a free gameplay trial to go along with it.
The first wave of games for Xbox Game Preview has already been announced, with such titles as The Long Dark, Shelter, Elite Dangerous and, perhaps most notably, DayZ. In addition, The Long Dark and Elite Dangerous will be available later today to check out for all Xbox One users.
