Porsche Speeds its way to Forza Horizon 2
Big news for car fans playing Forza Horizon 2! A Porsche expansion is inbound! If you are wondering why this is a big deal, allow me to explain. For years, the Porsche car line has been absent from big names like Gran Turismo and Forza due to an exclusivity deal with EA. Developers Polyphony and Turn 10 have been able to work around this by instead licensing cars from RUF. RUF, also a German manufacturer, uses unmarked Porsche chassis to manufacture their cars, so cosmetically they are quite similar. The new expansion will drop tomorrow and will run you $9.99, this pack includes a total of 10 cars and the list is detailed below.
- 1970 Porsche 914/6
- 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3
- 1987 Porsche 959
- 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo
- 2003 Porsche Carrera GT
- 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (997)
- 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S
- 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
- 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
- 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo
This is big news because for years the Porsche line has only been featured in games published by EA, namely a few Need for Speed games as well as Real Racing 3 for the iOS.
