Online Stores Indicate a 2015 Release for Fallout 4

With the reveal of Fallout 4 finally out of the way, the next question on everyone’s mind is when will we be able to get our hands on it? Fallout 4 will launch in 2015, according to Bethesda’s online store. Since the posting of this article, the Fallout 4 product page on Bethesda’s store has been modified. When added to cart, the estimated ship date was listed as “TBA 2015“, but now showing only “TBA“. Many other online retailers including Greenman GamingGameStop and Amazon also list a 2015 date.

The Bethesda store also notes “Pre-order Fallout 4 and get 20% off your next purchase on the Bethesda Store! (A 20% off code will be emailed to you after purchase. 20% off excludes games, pre-sale, deposit and sale items. Codes expire October 31, 2015.“. This pre-order exclusive code would only be available until Fallout 4 is officially released, therefore this information also supports a 2015 release.

The store page also explains, “Ship date subject to change without notice. We will always update this product page with the latest information we have“. The 2015 date could be a temporary placeholder, or was it hastily modified to avoid ruining an E3 bombshell?

Releasing Fallout 4 this fall is a very likely move for Bethesda. Announcing the game before E3 has spread the word and should put more eyes on their press conference. Bethesda may want to surprise and shock the crowd with a 2015 date. Information on the release window is thin as of now, but expect the air to clear when Bethesda takes the stage at E3 on June 14th at 7pm Pacific.
