Final Fantasy X/X2 Remaster: Your favorite RPG just got a facelift!
This is the RPG remaster we’ve all been waiting for! Square Enix has really outdone themselves this time with this awesome remaster of two of their best games. For me and my friends, these games are our favorites of the entire series and it’s a chance to relive some of our childhood. We would grab our PlayStation 2’s and our copies of Final Fantasy X or X2, with accompanying strategy guides and sit and play for hours. Now, with all of us being in our early to mid 20’s, we’re doing it again and constantly reminiscing on old times. One thing that really stood out to me about this game is how smooth the game plays. It stays at a constant 60fps and I’ve put about 15hrs into it. The graphics are definitely noticeable, there’s more detail in the playable characters and the NPC’s outfits and they make the festivities dressphere accessible very early on.
The few issues that I had with the PlayStation 2 version as far as characters mouths still moving even after they stop talking now not only doesn’t bother me, but it’s just all part of the game play experience and it just brings back fond memories. If you have a PlayStation 2 that’s still working, along with working copies of the game or weren’t as big of a fan of the game, then you may not wanna buy this because as far as I can tell, they didn’t add anything new to the game. Everything is pretty much just as if was back on the PlayStation 2. Other than that, I highly recommend this game. It’s a lot of fun and it’s a great intro into the world of RPG gaming. There are definitely challenges that will test you skill, no matter how familiar you might be with the franchise, but with a little bit of time leveling up your women or increasing specific stats through sphere grids, googling or flipping through the strategy guide, you will come out victorious and the winnings feel great! The only question you have to ask yourself is what to do first: play as Titus and the others, discovering the truth behind the menace of Sin or do you play as Yuna, fighting alongside Rikku and Paine and battle the behemoth Vegnagun to save Spira? The choice is yours.
This game can be purchased for 50$ on either the PSN or at your local GameStop and you get both games.
