Fallout 4 Now Available for Pre-Purchase on Steam

Mere hours after its announcement, initially only available for pre-order on 3 other retailers, Fallout 4 is now available for pre-purchase digitally on Steam.

A store page as barren as the wasteland itself hosts the pre-order option on the Steam storefront. Only a trailer, a screen shot, a one paragraph description, and a buy button are currently there. There is no rating, though its safe to assume the “Mature” rating will merit the game, no system specs, and no announced benefit to pre-ordering (which is rare and almost refreshing in today’s market), so it isn’t likely that many will be jumping for their keyboards and mice to pre-purchase the game.

That said, with Steam’s new refund policy, it is now a bit more reasonable to pre-purchase even without details.

In addition to Steam, a myriad of new retailers are accepting pre-purchases for Fallout 4, the full list of 9 being:

  • Amazon
  • Best Buy
  • Gamestop
  • Target
  • EB Games
  • Walmart
  • Steam
  • Xbox Store
  • PlayStation Store

More details for Fallout 4 are coming June 14th at 7PM PST at Bethesda’s E3 conference. For the initial reveal and trailer, direct your attention here.
