Witcher 3 Gets Substantial Update for PC, Consoles to Follow

The Witcher 3 has been out for a few days now and it has had a rocky release so far with many players reporting save problems, specifically for the Xbox One, which we cover in another story. CD Projekt RED is trying to fix at least some of the problems that have been happening with the game by releasing a patch to PC version of the game.

The patch fixes a number of things including, performance in cutscenes and gameplay, Nvidia Hairworks performance, blood particles will now properly appear after killing enemies on the water, grass and foliage popping that could occur after density parameters were changed, as well as a few others. There is nothing in the patch about the save problems that have been happening, but this patch is for PC and not consoles so Projekt is probably still working on trying to fix that problem. Even though this has been released for the PC, it is not yet available for console versions of the game, although Projekt does say the patch will be coming to consoles sometime soon. It’s good to see the developer trying to fix many of the problems the game is currently.
