The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Ep. 41
Ah, it feels good to be home. After over a year’s worth of podcasting at our sister site Leviathyn, The Best Podcast on the Citadel has moved to a new home, right here at GameNews.io! We kick things off right as hosts Blake Anglin and Chris Mrkvicka are joined by two of GameNews’s most talented writers: Shelby Walles and Scot Lewandowski. They tell you a bit about themselves, and we talk about the games that we have been playing lately.
With E3 right around the corner, a lot of the focus has been on what games will dominate the future landscape of gaming, but we kick off by talking a little about the past. In particular, Capcom has announced this week that HD remasters of older games, a divisive topic, will be a “key business activity” moving forward. We discuss this as a business move, and throw in some Capcom games we would personally like to see be remastered.
One game we do expect to see more of at E3 is Guitar Hero Live. With the recent announcement of ten more tracks, we take this opportunity to discuss music games as a whole, the future of Guitar Hero and Rock Band and what songs they should be adding to the setlist. Can Guitar Hero win back the crowd? We aren’t so sure.
Have you seen Bethesda’s teaser for the new Doom? As if we needed another reason to be hyped for E3, this is one of the many games we are looking forward to hearing about. We talk shop about the games we expect to see, our personal hopes for the show and end with our most anticipated titles on the horizon.
We appreciate you tuning into our show, and if you liked it, feel free to swing by iTunes and rate/subscribe to us! You can also follow Blake, Chris, Shelby and Scot on Twitter, or stay tuned right here to GameNews to see articles from all of them!
