Don’t Starve: Giant Edition Coming To Wii U
Don’t Starve: Giant Edition is coming to the Nintendo eShop for Wii U on May, 28th in North America and June 4th in Europe. To celebrate, the folks over at Klei Entertainment have decided that Nintendo eShop purchasers who buy the game before June 28th will receive a bonus gift copy of the game. The Wii U version of Don’t Starve: Giant Edition will make good use of the Wii U gamepad, which will be used to display your inventory and map or allow you to play the game in off-TV mode.
Don’t Starve: Giant Edition combines the content of both the original Don’t Starve game, and the Reign of Giants expansion pack, which adds new characters, seasons, creatures, biomes, and other challenges to Don’t Starve!
Don’t Starve was an enjoyable but difficult game on PS4 and PC, and I’m happy to see that Klei Entertainment is still keeping the game alive. This may also be the best console version of the game with the new gamepad support, easing the irritation I felt occasionally when navigating my inventory on the PS4 version. Either way, this should come as a pleasant surprise to Wii U owners and I hope Klei Entertainment finds success on the system.
