The Behemoth Releases Gameplay Video for “Game 4”
The Behemoth, known for Castle Crashers and Battleblock Theater, has released a 20 minute gameplay video of their upcoming game currently known as “Game 4”, which is a work in progress. In the video they state that the gameplay is from when they showed it at PAX East but has been updated since then although there still is temporary art and audio.
From the video we learn of the main character “Horatio” who is a blueberry farmer and his main quest. The video also has the fun, cartoony voices that The Behemoth is known for as well as a narrator similar to Battleblock Theater, who berates you at every turn. The gameplay is a turn based strategy game with hexagonal shaped tiles for your characters to move about and attack. Of course there is plenty of silliness such as a giraffe strapped with balloons bringing in more baddies for you to fight, dancing buildings, and a big muscled man who jumps out of a chest to show what rewards you got after every battle.
Some of the features of the game include a solo story mode, 2 player co-op story, and 2v2 Arena. It has been announced for Xbox One and Steam. The game is also set to release on the Xbox One and Steam but currently has no release date. I’m always interested in seeing what The Behemoth is working on next because their games just have that fun, wacky humour which makes them so enjoyable to play.
