Casey Hudson Working with Microsoft on HoloLens Projects
In an Xbox Wire interview, Microsoft has announced that Casey Hudson will be joining Microsoft Studios as Creative Director on numerous projects including Microsoft’s new augmented reality system; The HoloLens. Many will remember Casey Hudson as Bioware’s lead director for the last 15 years. He has worked on a fair number of their titles including the original Xbox console exclusive, Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, as well as the Mass Effect trilogy. Now he’ll be reporting to Kudo Tsunoda on “innovative new Xbox Titles”, as he mentioned in the interview;
I will be involved in driving a creative focus for Xbox and Windows gaming, and I couldn’t be more excited to be involved in that. The projects I’ve seen in development so far are amazing, and it’s going to be an awesome experience helping these teams cross the finish line.
While Microsoft has recently started announcing events at E3 this year, their HoloLens Website has also confirmed they will be bringing their augmented reality headset to the show for a more in-depth preview. Virtual Reality is shaping up to be a very hot topic this E3, so lets hope that all these new devices can impress us this year.
