New Gear For Destiny “House of Wolves” Expansion Revealed
Destiny’s second DLC add-on, House of Wolves, arrives Tuesday (May 19th) and bringing with it a new player versus player combat mode, a brand new strike, five story missions, and a new cooperative multiplayer arena called the Prison of Elders.
Thankfully, Bungie’s offering a complete digital arsenal as part of the upcoming expansion, and thanks to the launch of Destiny’s (partially broken) Update 1.2.0, players can get their first look at the complete list of items coming with House of Wolves. Spoiler: there is a lot of it.
The full listing, which was compiled by DestinyDB, (Link to the entire list is here)
Here are the highlights:
-House of Wolves introduces five new exotic weapons: two scout rifles, a fusion rifle, a sidearm, and a shotgun.
-The expansion includes nine pieces of exotic armor – one per class – many of which have changed drastically since they were first revealed a few months ago.
-The Trials of Osiris PvP mode comes with four new adept weapons, all of which are primaries, and all of which can be arc, solar, or void weapons.
-There are only two sidearms included in the entire expansion: the exotic weapon Dreg’s Promise, which deals Arc damage and refills ammo when players deal melee damage, and the Vestian Dynasty, a legendary weapon unlocked in the Prison of Elders.
-There are eight new ships, two new shaders (for changing the color of Guardians’ wardrobes), and a couple of new packages to round things out.
From the looks of things, there are literally hundreds of different weapons, pieces of armor, and other items arriving with House of Wolves, and completionists should expect to be very, very busy for the next few week’s.
Destiny Update 1.2.0 didn’t just contain updates for House of Wolves, it also includes some fixes for a few of the game’s weapons, and introduces Bungie’s new Connection Recovery system, which is designed to keep Guardians fighting even when network errors happen.
