The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Ep. 40
The times, they are a changin’. A famous musician said that, so it must be true, and it certainly applies here more than ever. After 40 episodes, the Best Podcast on the Citadel is moving on to greener pastures. Wait, that actually sounds a bit more dramatic than it needs to. We are actually just moving to a new website! Leviathyn, the gaming site we all know and love, has recently opened an awesome new sister site that focuses exclusively on gaming news, fittingly titled Game News! As it turns out, we discuss a lot of game news on here, so since it all makes so much sense, this will be our last podcast here, but don’t worry. Starting next week you will be able to find us at our new home, so come check us out, you won’t be disappointed (unless you are looking for cheesecake, in which case your disappointment is inevitable).
This week, Blake and Chris break down the reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Ubisoft appears to be taking the franchise in an exciting new direction, and we talk about the new Victorian setting, the sweet new tools at your disposal and the axing of the multiplayer component.
In yet another chapter of the ongoing meltdown at Konami, we discuss the news from their camp that they will be focusing on mobile development from here on out, because who wants to see new blockbuster Casltevania and Silent Hills games on consoles, right? Pssh, not me, that’s for sure! I’d much rather have a Kickstarter from the original developers of one of those games…
What’s this? Famed Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi has done just that? Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night blew past its original goal of $500,00 in a matter of hours, and even at this early stage, looks like a worthy successor to Symphony of the Night. Details are scarce right now, but this is definitely one to keep an eye on. We also discuss our top 5 favorite games from the last generation. Do some of your favorites make the cut in that fantastic generation? Listen and find out!
As always, we truly appreciate you tuning in, and hopefully you will follow us to our new location, where we will (hopefully) be better than ever! While you are doing things for us (you guys are, like, super nice) feel free to rate/subscribe to us on iTunes! You probably won’t regret it!
