Batman: Arkham Knight’s Dual Play Combat Gameplay Revealed

Dax Ginn and Tim Hanagan from Rocksteady Studios present a new episode of Arkham Insider. “Let’s Play Dual Play” gives us a new look into Arkham Knight’s dual play combat mechanic. The video features single player gameplay as Batman and Nightwing work together to clear a room full of Penguin’s thugs. You can swap crime fighters on the fly and fight back to back or using team moves, while not having to worry about multiplayer or an online connection. This is a one button command so that you can easily chain combos without missing a beat!

The video is capped off by a Q&A from a diehard Batman fan, asking questions pertaining to the development process and the Riddler challenges. Be warned as this section of the video contains major spoilers for both Arkham City and the prequel comic series to Arkham Knight. Now check out the video and let Dax and Tim walk you through what is sure to be a main attraction of the game.

You can stay alert to new episodes of the Arkham Insider series by subscribing to the official Batman Arkham YouTube channel, or following Rocksteady on their Facebook and Twitter.

Expect more details to emerge from Arkham Knight as we move closer to the release date. Kick butt with Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman and more on June 23rd on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Oh this game looks so amazing. Batman and Witcher are going to take up a lot of my time over the next few months.

Dual Play looks like an impressive feature, hopefully I don’t find it to disorienting when I pick the game up. I’m sure this game will be great anyway, if the previous Rocksteady Arkham games are anything to go by.

For sure. I have a feeling Rocksteady will ease us into dual play. I really hope Nightwing, Robin and the rest of the crew are available to use in the city as well, and not just isolated crimes. Either way it’s a dream come true!
