Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Lacks Online Play On Last Gen Consoles

Sorry last gen console owners, it looks like you won’t be able to spell S-K-A-T-E with a stranger halfway around the world. In an article published today by videogamer.com it was confirmed by Activision that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will not feature an online multiplayer component for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. This news does not effect the versions of the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which will reportedly feature an online multiplayer in which players are able to share custom skate parks or complete objectives together in skate sessions.

However, all is not lost for last gen console owners. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will launch at only $39.99 USD for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so if you want to get your single player skating experience fix then Activision has you covered. The last gen versions will also be exclusive to GAME in the UK.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is planned for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year, with Playsation 3 and Xbox 360 versions releasing soon afterwards.
