Nintendo Unveils Their E3 Plans

Through a very cheesy, but funny, video posted on their Twitter, Nintendo has announced their plans for the week of E3 2015. First off, they have their Digital Event, which is their online version of an E3 presentation, which will air on June 16th at 9am PST/12pm EST. Next, they announced that the Nintendo Treehouse will be streaming exclusive gameplay of the games shown at E3, along with the developers as special guests. On June 17th from 4-9 pm and June 20th from 12-5pm, people will have the opportunity to try out Mario Maker at select Best Buys across the nation.

Finally, the big announcement that Nintendo made during the video is that they are bringing back the Nintendo World Championships for 2015. If you are not familiar with the Nintendo World Championship, this was a tournament that Nintendo held in 1990 where a contestant was given three games, the games in the previous tournament were Super Mario Bros, Rad Racers, and Tetris, and points would be awarded and the one with the highest would be the winner. Players will be allowed to compete in select Best Buys around the U.S. on May 30th, with the finals being in Los Angeles, CA on June 14th. The games that will be played have yet to be announced.
