Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warefare

Mirror’s Edge and Plants vs. Zombies Titles Coming Next Year

According to an upcoming earnings call from EA, we can expect to see new Mirror’s Edge and Plants vs. Zombies titles sometime in 2016.

You can check out the report for all sorts of cool info about what’s going on at EA, but besides positive numbers for them, the upcoming titles tidbit is probably the most interesting. Some titles we’ve known about, such as Star Wars Battlefornt, upcoming entries in Madden, Need for Speed, FIFA, NHL, NBA Live and Rory McIlroy’s PGA Tour. However, the announcement of sequels for Mirror’s Edge and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare is pretty exciting.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson had this to say at the shareholder’s meeting: “After Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare became a sensation last year with console players young and old, we will be returning to the Plants vs. Zombies universe with a bigger and bolder new console experience in FY16 that we’ll share more about at E3.” This bodes well for fans of the competitive title, and it sounds like E3 will be the place to be for new info on that title.

As to Mirror’s Edge, the much anticipated sequel to the 2008 cult classic, it’s anybody’s guess as to what exactly we will see, but it’s probably safe to assume we will hear more about it at E3 as well. We will keep you updated as we hear more, but for now things are looking pretty good for EA on the gaming front.
