Destiny Expansion House Of Wolves Gets Release Date

Destiny’s second expansion is called House of Wolves, and now has a release date and more details. Players will be able to get their hands on the new content May 19th, according to Activision. Here’s the prologue trailer to set the stage:

House of Wolves will take players back to The Reef. Just as The Dark Below featured The Hive, this expansion looks to feature The Fallen. The Reef will be a new social space outside The Tower.

Bungie has confirmed that House of Wolves will not include a new raid. They’ve justified this decision with inclusion of new game modes, namely The Prison of Elders and the Trials of Osiris. The Prison of Elders will be a “new cooperative end game activity” that many are speculating will be a horde game type similar to Halo: Reach’s popular Firefight mode.

IGN reports that Bungie plans to showcase live gameplay of The Prison of Elders on May 6th, while on April 22nd the developers will show off The Reef. On April 29th, we’ll see live gameplay of the Trials of Osiris.

Destiny update 1.1.2 goes live today. Big features include a colorblind mode, raid bug fixes, and changes to PvP.
