The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Ep. 35
Hey-O! The Best Podcast on the Citadel is here to cap off your week with, well, the best podcast around! Hosts Blake Anglin and Chris Mrkvicka break down this week’s biggest stories in gaming, as well as this week’s top list and their recently played games. Chris finally has a bit of free time after that whole “having a baby” thing, and has been using it to dig into the Borderlands Handsome Collection. Blake has been working on his backlog, and after finally finishing Ori and the Blind Forest, he sat down and completed a game Chris has been stumping for: Child of Light. They discuss that, and how you can pick up that nifty little title for free next month on Xbox One.
Perhaps the biggest news of the week has come from Konami’s camp, and their apparent decision to cut Hideo Kojima out of…basically everything. He has seemingly been removed as director, his name has been taken off all promotional items and word has come down that they have even limited his Internet activities. That’s just a low blow. We dig into that, what this could mean for Silent Hills and Metal Gear Solid V, and what we could see from Kojima next.
Leviathyn’s own Sarah Blackburn put down here thoughts on PS2 series she would like to see make a return on PS4. Since it turns out Sony is not afraid of remastering titles (not even a little), we break down some series we would like to see as well. What are some PS2 series you would like to see brought up to date? Leave us a comment with your thoughts!
And to end the podcast, we discuss this week’s top 5 list: the most rage-inducing moments in gaming. We each had different ideas on how to approach that topic, but it’s fair to say that it is therapeutic for us both, and we relive some childhood memories that are perhaps best forgotten. Either way, we excise some demons here, which is always fun! It’s all here and more, on the Best Podcast on the Citadel.
