F1 2015 Arrives In June For Xbox One, PS4 And PC

Codemasters have announced that the latest title in their Formula One series will release in June this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The game has been built on a new version of the EGO engine, which now allows enhancements for transmission, suspension and a brand new physics model. A new broadcast style presentation system will be included, in an attempt to capture all of the excitement that comes with experiencing a weekend of Formula One action.

Both consoles will receive added benefits due to the ability to utilize voice recognition features, allowing the player to talk to race engineers who can provide race info, weather information and more when requested. In addition to the Championship Season, Quick Race and Multiplayer modes, there will be a brand new mode called Pro Season, for race enthusiasts who want the ultimate challenge.

If that wasn’t enough, Codemasters are also including all of the cars, drivers and tracks from F1 2014 as bonus content within the game, built from the ground up, to incorporate the new game features within F1 2015. Game Director, Paul Jeal, commented that the shift to the new consoles represents a significant change for the franchise.

“F1 2015 marks an exciting new chapter for Codemasters and FORMULA ONE; it’s a shift in direction for the game series, on new formats and our brand new game engine, with the game set to be released earlier in the season”.

Codemasters have been releasing Formula One games since acquiring the licence back in 2009. The series has generally scored high reviews from critics, although last year’s release attracted fairly mediocre reviews.
