Resident Evil: Revelations 2 on PC Get’s Local Co-op
Rejoice Resident Evil fans on PC, your prayers have been answered! Today Capcom announced that an open-beta has begun for split screen co-op in Resident Evil Revelations 2 on PC. This news comes on the heels of a fan-made mod that added Co-op to PC version.
For those not aware of the controversy; when Resident Evil Revelations 2 released on Steam the description said that local multiplayer would be available just like on the Console versions, fans were displeased to find out that there was no local multiplayer on PC. Capcom apologized on their Steam page stating that, “The erroneous feature description was a careless oversight on our part due to the shared game description text used across a number of platforms. There’s no other way to look at it; we clearly dropped the ball here and didn’t handle the situation correctly.” It looks like now though, PC users will be able to have that same on the couch experience that console users currently enjoy. For those who need help activating this feature Capcom has released a set of instructions for activating local co-op which you can view here.
What do you think of this news? Happy that Capcom added the feature in? Upset that they didn’t do it in the first place? Let us know in the comments below! Also be sure to check back to leviathyn.com for all your news and reviews.
