Beach Buggy Racing Is Heading To PS4 And Xbox One
Kart racing fans will be glad to hear that Beach Buggy Racing is making its way to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One in mid-April, with the price to be announced in due course.
Beach Buggy Racing is currently available for iOS and Android devices, and uses a free-to-play model which has been removed for the upcoming console release, ensuring that players will have access to all 25 power-ups from the start as well as removing the accompaniments that often bundle with free-to-play games, such as adverts. Kart racers have historically been famous for their local multiplayer gameplay, and Vector Unit have confirmed that the game will feature up to 6 player split-screen, for those chaotic not-so-friendly game nights.
The game will receive graphical upgrades from its mobile counterpart, such as upgraded textures and environments, in addition to running at 60 frames per second, with a resolution of 1080p.
Vector Unit recently released Riptide GP2 to the Xbox One, which was also adapted from its previous outing on mobile and tablet devices. The company have been in operation since December 2007 and in addition to Riptide and Beach Buggy games, they have also worked on Shine Runner for mobile devices and a speed boat racer named Hydro Thunder Hurricane, which released for Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360 back in July 2010.
