Gameplay footage of cancelled Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun surfaces
In 2010, Climax Studios began development of Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun. The game was set for release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 with a PS4 version under consideration. It was to be published by Square Enix Europe. Dead Sun never hit store shelves as it was cancelled in 2012.
Climax Studios is currently developing Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China. Square Enix is publishing numerous titles such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Just Cause 3.
During Dead Sun’s development, the game wasn’t showcased to the public. The game’s multiplayer component was later used for the free-to-play title, Nosgoth. With such little known about the game, many have wondered how it looked in action.
NeoGAF user Mama Robotnik posted gameplay footage of Dead Sun recently, which is said to be obtained by a source who was involved with the development of the game. The video, which lasts over 30 minutes, features opening story sequences, combat, and puts gameplay mechanics on display.
