The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Ep. 31
Gather around friends, the Best Podcast on the Citadel is here to tell you a story…OK, not so much a story as us rambling on about video games, but hey, now you’re just splitting hairs. Don’t be that guy. This week, hosts Blake Anglin and Chris “Quitchy” Mrkvicka are joined by Leviathyn writers Stephen Pollard and Tiff MacDonald to discuss this week’s biggest gaming stories, the games we’ve been playing and our weekly top list.
This week, the gang discusses what they have been playing lately, which brings up an interesting point. With the current generation of consoles in full swing, we are starting to see some unexpected problems that some of us never considered even a year ago. With the recent news that The Witcher 3 will have a 50GB install file (that’s with the disc release, to say nothing of the full digital download) hard drives will soon be filling up faster than many thought they would. What does this mean for the near future of the industry? We examine that very problem. We also lament the passing of Rooster Teeth animator Monty Oum, a true innovator in the games video business. Monty, you will be missed.
We also take a look at Stephen’s article about game series that went on for too long. We pick his brain on some of choices, he justifies why he made the picks and we all throw out a few personal suggestions for games that fit that category. In addition, love is in the air on the podcast this week, as with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we break down our top video game romances of all time. Who makes the cut? Tune in and find out! And as always, you can find Blake and Chris on Twitter, give Stephen a follow and now you can find us on iTunes!
