The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Ep. 30
The Best Podcast on the Citadel hits the dirty thirty (week) anniversary, and we have a great episode lined up. Hosts Blake Anglin and Chris Mrkvicka are joined by Leviathyn writer Calum Sim to discuss their games played lately, the news of the week and this episode’s top 5. Blake talks a bit about his experience with Techland’s new zombie title Dying Light, which is showing promise when it is not being held back by technical issues.
Blake and Calum also geek out a bit on Dragon’s Dogma, as it was announced recently that a new game in the series is being developed, Dragon’s Dogma Online. As of now, it is only confirmed for a Japanese release, but listen as we explain our hopes for it reaching our shores, while Chris plays a bit of the devil’s advocate. While we are at it, we list a few games we want to see go “online”. In other news, Nintendo announced the ridiculous sales numbers for their lineup of Amiibo figures. The crew discusses what those numbers mean, the question of Nintendo limiting the supply on purpose and whether or not these figures are a sustainable business model. Where does Nintendo go with them next? We have some thoughts.
It’s also time again to pit the Games with Gold lineup versus this month’s PlayStation Plus offerings. Sony has had a stranglehold in our completely arbitrary competition, but is this the month that Microsoft takes the crown? This week’s top 5 takes on a competitive edge, as the guys list their favorite multiplayer maps. What classics make the list, and what weird maps do the guys think of? Come have a listen and find out, as it’s all here and more, on the Best Podcast on the Citadel.
