Play Cops And Robbers With Battlefield Hardline Beta
There’s no official date yet, but Gamespot has the details on the upcoming Battlefield Hardline beta. All non-Nintendo platforms can get in on the fun: Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC.
The two gameplay modes available will be Battlefield’s classic Conquest and the brand-new Hotwire mode for lovers of car chases and explosions. Finally, there will be no cap on max progression level. This means, of course, that you can keep unlocking weapons and gadgets for your cop or criminal for the duration of the beta.
Steve Papoutsis of Visceral Games tells the would-be beta testers: “this test is only going to make the game stronger, and help us take a look at ways we can ensure we deliver the most stable launch you deserve.”
Certainly, the open beta phase is crucial to stress test an online behemoth like Battlefield. Simply put, the more people play the beta, the better the release will go. This will actually be the second Battlefield Hardline beta test, while the first ran back in June of 2014.
Battlefield Hardline will take a break from the series’ usual subject of multinational wars and focus on cops, criminals, and action movie-style police work. The game is being developed by acclaimed Dead Space creators Visceral Games.
Expect Battlefield Hardline on March 17th, pushed back from the original October 2014 release date.
