Almost Two Years Later, We Have New Rock Band 3 DLC

Nope, that’s not a typo. After almost six yeras of weekly DLC offerings for Rock Band 3, Harmonix announced they would be ceasing new DLC in April of 2013. Almost two years later, they are getting the band back together with some new DLC offerings for the long-running music series.

Three songs will be made available for purchase. The Foo Fighters newest single “Something from Nothing” from their latest album Sonic Highways is being released, as well as a couple of songs from 2013. Avenged Sevenfold’s “Shepherd of Fire” and The Arctic Monkey’s “R U Mine?” are also coming, complete with all tracks and awaiting your rocking pleasure. I hope some of you kept you old plastic instruments (I think mine are in a closet somewhere). I’ll be honest though, I’ve always had a soft spot for Rock Band, so maybe this is the motivation I (and maybe others) need to dig back into the series. This could be a testing of the waters, so if enough interest is drummed up, who knows what could happen.

All three of these tracks will be available for purchase tomorrow for Xbox 360 and PS3, and will retail at $1.99 per song, with no word on a three-pack for these singles.
