New Friday The 13th Game In Development

A new Friday the 13th video game is currently in development for the first time in 25 years, and will star series villain Jason Voorhees, reports EGM.

The game is reportedly a co-operative, competitive multiplayer, and asymmetrical experience that let players assume the role of a small group of teenage survivors pitted against a single player in control of Jason. It’ll also be loosely based on the upcoming TV show of the same name,  and will reference the classic films as well.

The game is aiming for an October 2015 release and is being developed by an experienced studio, whose identity will be revealed in the coming weeks.
