The Best Podcast on the Citadel, Episode 25
Hear ye, hear ye, the Best Podcast on the Citadel is here to rock your world! Or something along those lines…it’s going to be awesome, how about that? Hosts Chris Mrkvicka and I are joined by editor Stephen Pollard to talk about all the goings-on in the world of video games for the week, as well as give the always entertaining Top 5.
This week, the guys discuss the bane of our generations wallets: Cyber Monday. With digital games bigger than ever, it’s a prime time to double down on some awesome gaming action, so we break down the best deals and what we picked up. One thing that sadly wasn’t available on Cyber Monday is this sweet new 20th Anniversary PS4, which if you are anything like me, hit you right in the nostalgia. Damn I want that thing.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, so Ubisoft has announced some free DLC and even free games for people afflicted by the numerous bugs in the game. Is it enough of a gesture from Ubisoft? Does it begib to make up for the people who wanted, you know, a functioning Assassin’s Creed game? We examine both sides of that issue. We also break down this month’s PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold offerings, and decide who had the better month. It’s been pretty unanomous for Sony thus far, but is this the month that Microsoft takes the cake? Listen to find out what we think.
In one of the more animated Top 5 discussions we’ve had, we also discuss our Top 5 Super Nintendo games, and our love for that legendary console shines through quite brightly. A lot of good games discussed here, so drop us a line and tell me which classics we missed, or on the off chance you agree with our lists, feel free to leave a thumbs up emoticon. We love those. It’s all here and more, on the Best Podcast on the Citadel.
