Better Call Saul Phones in a Two-Night Premiere In February

The return of everyone’s favorite New Mexico lawyer is nigh in AMC’s Better Call Saul. The Breaking Bad prequel-spin-off series debuts on Sunday, Feb. 8th with the second episode airing the next night on Feb. 9th. In addition, a brand new teaser for the series has sneaked its way onto the Internet right under our noses for its winter debut.

Bob Odenkirk leads the series as the titular Saul and is joined by Jonathan Banks as Mike Erhmantraut, Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin and Far Cry 3‘s Michael Mando as Nacho Varga – characters that compose both sides of the law.

Better Call Saul is set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. Here, the man we’ve known as Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny and hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside and often against Jimmy is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut, a beloved character first introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into a man who puts the criminal in “criminal lawyer.”

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan directs the series pilot, which has already been greenlit for a second, 13 episode season. The first season is 10 episodes and airs Sunday nights at 10/11 Central on AMC.
