US Xbox One Sales Triple
According to Microsoft VP Yusuf Mehdi, Xbox One sales in the US have increased since the console received a temporary $50 price drop on November 2. In the past week alone, the sales have more than tripled Mehdi claimed, via Xbox Wire.
Xbox One has also led generation 8 console sales, which includes Sony’s PS4, in the past two weeks. Microsoft is nearing 10 million consoles sold in to retailers since its release last November. The figures are based on Microsoft’s internal data. It is important to note, however, that there is a difference between consoles sold directly to consumers and to retailers such as Gamestop, which is what Microsoft is noting.
The promotional $50 price drop will end on January 3, 2015. The deal is available to US customers only.
