Telltale Still Releasing Game of Thrones Title This Year

Despite not hearing much about Telltale’s take on Game of Thrones this year, the studio has confirmed it will be releasing the first episode of its new game series before the end of the year. Telltale’s community and PR specialist Laura Perusco revealed the news via Twitter saying that while no specific release date has been set, “the season IS premiering later this year.”

The only viable information we have on the game is that it might be set in the North, as IGN posted images from Telltale indicating as much previously this year. House Forrester is noted at the top of the images in question and according to Westros mythology, the House is sworn to House Glover of Deepwood Motte, which resides close to the Bay of Ice in the Northwestern part of Westros. Interestingly, House Glover is sworn to Winterfell.

When IGN did ask about any further details, Telltale remained silent. It looks likely that any new information we’ll receive about the game will only come during its day of release.
