Don’t Let Mom Find You in This Super Smash Bros Stage

There’s no shortage of news for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, which is now just shy of a week away from release in the West and has generated quite a bit of excitement from its fanbase. By all accounts, the Wii U version shouldn’t be far behind according to Nintendo, and recent retail listings point to a late November release.

While the console version may be rather ambiguous compared to the details we know about its handheld sibling. There’s plenty to learn yet, in that case, and Masahiro Sakurai’s latest “Pic of the Day” on Miiverse to unveil a new stage exclusive to the home console version.

Super Smash Bros Wii U Stage

Pic of the day. Here’s a stage exclusive to the Wii U version: Gamer. Don’t let Mom find you while you’re duking it out!!

It’s based on one of the minigames from Game & Wario in which you must hide from “Mom” as she checks up on her little boy’s room. If you’re caught in her sight it seems that the stage will become a far more dangerous place.

“If Mom does spot you, she’ll scold you and blow you away!!,” Sakurai tells us, who goes on to say that he’s “never seen a fighting action game as chaotic as this one.”

Super Smash Bros for 3DS releases this Oct. 3rd for North America and Europe, releasing a day later for Australia. Its console counterpart for Wii U remains undated. Check out our impressions on both titles, which we thought were impressive, to say the least.
