PlayStation TV Coming Next Month, Features Over 600 Titles
Sony is launching PlayStation TV in North America next month, and one of the biggest questions has been what kind of games can we expect to see on the service. Today, Sony announced via their official blog some of what we can expect to see.
PlayStation TV is a standalone device that connects to your television and allows you to download and stream a number of PlayStation titles and play them using a DualShock 3 or 4 controller. PS4 users will have some added functionality, as you will be able to access your remote play titles from your PS4 using PS TV on a separate television. Vita users will also be able to cross-play certain titles on both PS TV and their Vita, which can either be downloaded to the device or inserted directly into the system using a PS Vita card.
PlayStation TV is launching October 14th with a library of nearly 700 games, and the device can be picked up for $99.99. A bundle will also be available that includes a DualShock 3 controller, an 8GB memory card and the LEGO Movie Video Game for $139.99. WalMart also has an exclusive bundle for the same price that comes packaged with all of that, plus Sly Cooper; Thieves in Time. The PlayStation TV’s library includes titles like:
- Rayman Origins
- Persona 4 Golden
- God of War Collection
- Killzone: Mercenary
- FINAL FANTASY X / X-2 HD Remaster
- Dragon’s Crown
- FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: WAR OF THE LIONS
- Metal Gear Solid
- Twisted Metal
- Borderlands 2
- Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom
You can find out more about the full library here. Expect our full review of the service when it launches October 14th.
