Final Fantasy XIII Coming to PC Next Month
Lightning and co. are headed to the PC next month. According to the Steam Store page, Final Fantasy XIII will be available on Oct. 9 for $14.99. The 2010 JRPG is currently available for pre-purchase at a 10% discount. This news comes after yesterday’s release of Final Fantasy IV on Steam.
Final Fantasy XIII was originally released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and is one of the most polarizing games in the Final Fantasy series because of the linear areas that front-load the first half of the game. The game has already been tagged “linear” and “walking simulator” by Steam Users.
This news comes after the Steam logo appeared on a portal page that was posted yesterday for Final Fantasy XIII and its sequels on Square Enix’s website. This suggests that both Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. According to Square Enix, both games will be available on Steam sometime during the Spring of next year.
There’s also no word on whether the upcoming Final Fantasy XV will be coming to the PC as it is currently planned for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
