Ninja Theory Announces New IP, Titled Hellblade

Developer Ninja Theory, known for DmC: Devil May Cry and Heavenly Sword, has announced a new IP titled Hellblade for PlayStation 4. The game was announced during Sony’s Gamescom press conference today.

Ninja Theory also confirmed that it will be publishing the title independently, and isn’t tied to any of the games it has developed in the past such as Enslaved and Heavenly Sword. The studio said, on its Twitter account earlier today, that Hellblade is “a game that feels and looks AAA, but will be smaller, lower priced and delivered independently.”

As you can see above, the teaser trailer shows a female character covered in war paint, as a series of voices narrates threats. Ninja Theory has confirmed that Hellblade won’t be a PS4 exclusive, but it will be making its debut on the console.
