Next-Gen Minecraft Still Has Too Many Bugs To Be Released
While Minecraft is set to release on the Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita this month, the game apparently still has too many bugs to be released yet. The game has been rumoured to release on August 19th, but with that date rapidly approaching it is not looking good for the newest iterations of the popular game.
On August 1st 4J Studios tweeted this
While on August 9th, it seemed the situation was still unchanged
We’re still working our way through the bugs. We’ll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing teams!
Whether there is enough evidence here to be worried about Minecraft keeping its next-gen launch promise is unclear, but it certainly looks like 4J Studios has a lot of work on their hands.
Minecraft for PS4 and Xbox One will contain worlds much larger than their Xbox 360 and PS3 counterparts. Players who own last-gen versions of Minecraft will be able to upgrade to the newest versions for only $5, and their save games will transfer over. Also, if you own Minecraft for the PS3 you can get the PS Vita version completely free when it launches!
