Assassins Creed Rogue

UPDATE: Assassins Creed: Rogue Leaked – Coming November 11th

With the game leaked, it seems that Ubisoft has decided to officially announce the title instead of waiting for Gamescom next week as originally planned.

In a press release sent out to the media, Ubisoft says:

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is being developed by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios. Set in the middle of the 18th century during the Seven Years War, Assassin’s Creed Rogue gives players new locations across North America to explore, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley and New York. In Assassin’s Creed Rogue, players experience the Assassin’s Creed universe through the eyes of a Templar. As Shay Patrick Cormac, players suffer the brotherhood’s betrayal and transform into an Assassin hunter.

The official trailer can now be seen here.

The original story is as follows..

The last-gen exclusive Assassins Creed title has officially been announced.. by way of a leaked trailer.

The trailer has since been removed, but confirmed that the game is titled Assassins Creed: Rogue and will be launching on November 11th for Xbox 360 and PS3.

A whole gallery of photos from Rogue can be found at Access The Animus. They show what looks to be another naval focused Assassins Creed title, with gamers sailing through the Arctic. They also detail some DLC for the game, titled “The Ultimate Hunter Pack” which contains new weapons and ship customizations.

Assassins Creed: Rogue has been rumoured to be a direct sequel to Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag, and the looks of these screens from the trailer seem to prove this theory as correct. The game is also speculated to feature a Templar as the main character.

Ubisoft has so far refused to comment on the trailer, but I am sure we will see the official announcement of Assassins Creed: Rogue next week at Gamescom.
