The Last of Us Will Be Performed Live
Called The Last of Us: One Night Live, it will be performed in Los Angeles “for a special one-night-only performance,” and will include “a live reading of select scenes by the principle actors, under the direction of Neil Druckmann from Naughty Dog.” All the main actors will be present, including Troy Baker (Joel), Ashley Johnson (Ellie), Merle Dandridge (Marlene), Hana Hayes (Sarah), and Annie Wersching (Tess). The game’s composer Gustavo Santaolalla “will perform selections” from the score as well.
The event will take place specifically in Santa Monica, California at the Broad Stage on Monday, July 28th at 7p PT. Admissions will be public and free, you can learn how to get your tickets here.
The Last of Us, since its release in June 2013, has gone on to garner up a deluge of accolades, including countless Game of the Year awards. The game will be receiving a remaster in the form of The Last of Us: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, which will be released a day after this event, July 29. There’s also a movie planned which will be written by creative director Neil Druckmann. No official release window for the film has been revealed, as it is still in it early stages.
