Who’s That Game – The Body Changer

Platform: Windows PC
Release Date: Q3 2014

Who’s That Game stars our very own Aaron Randolph as he plays weird and unique indie games blind so you don’t have to.

In this episode of Who’s That Game, I played The Body Changer, a 3D action-adventure puzzler by indie studio The Short and the Tall – please note that I was unaware at the time of recording that the game is still in active development, and many of the things I critiqued may be fixed before final release. For example, I’m hoping they add some music to the game at some point, and I really hope someone does something about those piercing background wails.

Having said that, the game does show a good deal of promise. The art style is very clean, the gameplay concept of an action-puzzler is interesting, and if they get some of the bugs worked out, and the controls and character movement tightened up, this could really be a solid title. I’m interested to see how the game plays upon release. But for the love of all things holy, please, The Short and the Tall, do something about the sound.
