Crash Bandicoot Might Return To PlayStation
Beloved, classic PlayStation mascot Crash Bandicoot might return to the platform following a several-year hiatus being owned by Activision.
In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Sony President Andrew House left open the possibility that Sony would revive both Crash and Spyro. “In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that,” said House.
Naughty Dog are the original creators of Crash Bandicoot, releasing four games for the first PlayStation starting from 1996 to 1999. The franchise was sold to Activision in early 2000. The last game appeared in 2008 on PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
