Nintendo To Host First Smash Bros. 3DS Tournament

Nintendo has announced that on July 25 they will be hosting their first ever Super Smash Bros 3DS tournament at San Diego Comic Con.

Fans are invited to come to the Nintendo Gaming Lounge at the Marriott Marquis & Marina located at 333 W. Harbor Drive (adjacent to the San Diego Convention Center) for a chance to participate. Spots are extremely limited as a lot of players will be trying to get a chance to participate in the tournament. Fans will be able to sign up the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. This isn’t the first time that Nintendo has shown off the new Super Smash Bros. to the public.

Starting at noon, the first round will begin with four players duking it out. The winner will advance to the next round, with the losers being able to brag to their friends that the played Super Smash Bros 3DS first. During the finals, players will be fighting one-on-one, to determine the best smasher of them all.

For those who will not be at San Diego Comic-Con, Nintendo will be streaming this tournament live on their Twitch channel. This is the first of many Nintendo Gaming Lounges that is being planned for fans, so Super Smash Bros. Wii U or Splatoon may be visiting events in the coming future.
