Ubisoft Quebec To Develop New Assassin’s Creed Game
Ubisoft has announced that its Quebec studio will lead development on a new Assassin’s Creed project. It’s unknown whether or not the game in question will be next year’s entry, following 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is current-gen only. The developer has been involved with the series since Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Other projects the studio worked include Prince Persia and Watch Dogs.
“With a creative team of over 350 talented members,” said Managing Director, Nicolas Rioux, “we are one of Ubisoft’s flagship studios in the creation of the highest quality online, connected and mobile gaming worlds.”
Another announcement to note is that Ubisoft will be hiring around 100 new employees to work at the Quebec studio over the next three years, with half of the recruits already employed.
Another Assassin’s Creed game to release this year is Comet, a last-gen only title, but Ubisoft has yet to share any details regarding the title.
