Agitha and a Newcomer Join the Fight in Hyrule Warriors
Hyrule Warriors is all the rage across the Zelda landscape since it dropped the moon on us last E3. The buildup ’til its autumn launch isn’t stowing down either, and just as promised we’ve got another selection of fighters from the most unlikeliest of places.
Agitha, the self-proclaimed bug princess from 2006’s The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, will now be the bane of moblins everywhere umbrella in hand, according to early leaks of the next Famitsu magazine. That same entry also alleges that Agitha will be joined by Twilight Princess baddies Zant and Argorok in some capacity. The latter was featured just earlier this month in the game’s Twilight realm stage.
Agitha will be further joined by a familiar face from the game’s cover. That gal’s now been identified as a brand new protagonist named Lana, a “White Witch,” who dabbles in a magical book of spells to combat enemies.
While Agitha can attack with a parasol and summon bugs, Link will have his iconic hook-shot, as well as Majora’s Mask summoning a very special moon-sized attack.
These two new additions (and possibly four as they’re confirmed) make up a steadily growing cast of Link, Princess Zelda, Impa, and Midna as shown off at Nintendo’s E3 demonstration courtesy of its Treehouse livestream.
Hyrule Warriors raises its blade Aug. 14 in Japan while it awaits its European release until Sep. 20th and a stateside release by Sep. 26th.
