Shovel Knight Gets Release Trailer Full of Nostalgia
The release of the Kickstarter funded homage to 8-bit platformers Shovel Knight is almost upon us, and to celebrate, Yacht Club Games has released a launch trailer showing some of the action you will be able to dig into June 26th. Our early impressions at E3 were positive, and now the only thing remaing is to get our hands on it, either via Wii U, 3DS or PC.
As you can see, the game is clearly inspired by the NES era Mega Man games, and most of you who follow Leviathyn know that we never think that is a bad thing. Yacht Club Games has went to great lengths to make sure Shovel Knight feels as authentic as possible, down to using only colors an NES could use. Shovel Knight could be one of the best success stories from Kickstarter, but of course we will have to wait a few days to see if it can hit us right in the nostalgia.
