Rise of the Tomb Raider Might Release For Last-Gen Consoles

Developer Crystal Dynamic’s sequel to its 2013 hit Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, might release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as both current-gen consoles and PC. The information comes from an Amazon Listing that offers the game for pre-order on all major systems just mentioned.

The game was only officially announced for Xbox One, when it was revealed during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. A trailer was released alongside a new blurb explaining the premise of the game.

It reads, “In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider.

“Featuring epic, high-octane action moments, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take gamers to multiple locations around the world filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth. In addition, after hearing the cry from fans loud and clear, the game will put the tombs back into “Tomb Raider” all in the franchise’s gritty Survival-Action style.”

The game is currently slated to release sometime in 2015.
